Cold Seasons suck!!!

Well,,,,,once again the cold season has rolled around,,,and my poor little KayLee has got the dreaded sniffles, and running nose,,,and her blood sugar has been running higher than I like to see it. She had some (a trace )ketones to go a long with it!! I absolutely hate the thought of ketones,, it honestly scares the hell out of me!! I've gotten lucky that she doesnt seem to keep them long,, but they pop up when Im least expecting them.
Justin being the "Independant" kid that he is at the age of 10,,,was sick too. I sometimes forget that he is still a little guy,,,,and needs his mom. I just wish that he needed me more than just for those times that he's standing over the toilet yaking. It doesnt seem like he should be so dang old.....where has the time gone too???????

First post......

Today,,,is my first official post. I am a 27 year old the single mother of two beautiful kids, Justin -10 years old and KayLee (aka Fuzz)- 5 years old. I have been checking out the posting by Kerri @ sixuntilme.com for a couple weeks now. I've decided to try this blogging stuff for myself to see how it all works. Im hoping that it will prove to be a way for me to vent my anger towards the life with diabetes.

My daughter KayLee was dxd with Juvenile Diabetes back in August of 2003, just two months after her second birthday.
